OUR MISSION
The Fox Valley Special Recreation Association exists to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. Working collaboratively with member agencies and community partners, we pledge to put PEOPLE FIRST.
FVSRA VISION
The Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) enriches the lives of people with disabilities within the communities it serves. Formed in 1976 as an extension of the Fox Valley, Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, Sugar Grove, Oswegoland Park Districts and the Village of South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department, we provide a diverse range of year round recreational opportunities to enable residents with disabilities to experience active, healthy and playful lifestyles.
Through innovative partnerships and advocacy, FVSRA seeks to be regarded as THE community resource for individuals and families of people with disabilities within our service region. Recognizing the diversity of the member agencies and populations we serve, we pledge to be “customer focused” in our approach to governance and service delivery. We further recognize that our organization’s long-term stability and consistency are vitally important to those we serve.
In the years ahead we will continue to focus on sustaining and improving high user satisfaction with the services we deliver as well as those we recommend to our customers. Through education, awareness, and advocacy we will strive to remove all barriers that may inhibit people with disabilities from achieving maximum enjoyment, satisfaction and fulfillment in their lives.
