Pick-Up/Drop-Off Points
A. Please check each program for transportation information to verify specific type, location, and pick-up and return times. Please indicate on the registration form the transportation location you have chosen for each program. Call our office with any deviation.
B. All persons dropping off and/or picking up a participant for our program should personally notify our staff when the participant arrives or is leaving. Notification alleviates the possibility of someone being left at a location, and also insures that participants are safely released to the individual picking them up at the end of the program.
C. Individuals using this service must be on time as staff are unable to wait for late arrivals. If parents/guardians are not at the transportation point within 10 minutes of scheduled time following a program, the participant will be taken to the FVSRA Office. It is then the responsibility of the parent guardian to pick participant up from the FVSRA Office.
Door-to-Door Transportation (D/D)
The door-to-door transportation rate is $2 each way per program or activity.
Car Seats
In order to ensure the safety of our young participants while traveling in the FVSRA vehicles, parents of any child under 8 years are requested to provide their car seat for use on the vans. If you have any questions, please call the Superintendent of Recreation.
Accessible Transportation
All participants who are transported by FVSRA while in a wheelchair must have an individual wheelchair safety seat belt system that secures them into their wheelchair, and brakes that are in good working order. If a participant is in need of a seat belt system, FVSRA will provide one for program use only, if noted on the registration form. Individuals using tri-wheelers must transfer into a bus seat as tri-wheelers cannot be safely tied down in vehicles.
