Safety Information
Safety Policy Statement
We acknowledge an obligation to provide safe working conditions for employees and a safe leisure environment for the public using our programs and services.
It is the intention of the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association to develop, implement and administer a comprehensive safety and loss control program. In all of our assignments, health and safety should be an important consideration.
Personnel at all levels are directed to make safety a matter of continuing and mutual concern, equal in importance with all other operational considerations. Each supervisor is responsible for work being performed in a safe manner, inspections conducted on a regular basis, hazards and dangers minimized and accidents investigated.
Staff Ratios in Programs
FVSRA programs are staffed according to the needs and abilities of participants as well as the nature of a particular program. Most programs have one staff to approximately four participants. There are programs which have one staff to one participant and go as high as one staff to six participants. Closer staff to participant ratios are typically for those individuals or groups which have more involved needs/behavior issues. By filling out your participant’s Annual Information Form completely, you can help our Program Leader and Support Staff Coordinator plan for our programmatic staffing and safety needs.
