Brunch Bunch

Spice up your Sunday with good food and friends! We will be preparing our own Sunday brunch and enjoying and sharing it among friends! This program is designed to increase socialization with peers and practice new and old culinary skills.

Chicago Bulls

Put on your red and black gear and cheer on your Chicago Bulls basketball team. This program provides an opportunity to practice money handling, seat recognition, sportsmanship and socialization while promoting independence.

Comedy! Comedy!

Laugh the night away at a Comedy! Comedy! performance at Water Payton’s Roundhouse. The goal of this program is to increase knowledge of adult community resources, socialize with peers, practice appropriate social behavior and provide an alternative way to improve your well-being through laughter.

DePaul Basketball Game

The DePaul Blue Demons Men’s Basketball team takes on St. John’s at the Allstate Arena! We will be sitting in section 105 for some of the best seats in the house! Special thanks to the Gordon Flesch Company, Inc for donating the tickets for this event. The goal of the program is to increase social skills, and daily living skills like money handling and appropriate spectator behaviors.

DuPage Children's Museum

Are you ready to see some of the coolest, oldest artifacts located just miles from your home and have a day off of school? Take a tour of the Dupage Children’s Museum where we can learn about the world around us. After we have toured the museum we will be going to a local park. The trip will consist of mostly hands on play areas as well as walk through displays. The goal of the program is to allow children and teens to get out into the community, socialize and improve motor skills through the hands on activities.

FVSRA Lock-In

Bring your sleeping bag, pillow and tooth-brush for an affordable night of fun and games at FVSRA. Throughout the night we will make dinner, enjoy activities and games in the field house, and relax with a movie. This program provides participants with a safe environment to learn basic cooking skills, and participate in fitness and social activities with new and old friends.

FVSRA Talent Show

Are you ready to see who this year’s Mr. and Ms. FVSRA are going to be? Do you want to see your friends show off their hidden talents? Light refreshments will be served after the show.

How It's Made

See ‘how it’s made’ at the Oberweis Dairy Store in North Aurora. We have been invited to be a part of the behind the scenes action of creating one of America’s favorite treats, ice cream! You will have a birds-eye view of the production of the ice cream and filling of the old fashion glass milk containers. After the tour, you will enjoy the very ice cream that you observed being prepared.

Metra Lunch Escape

Hop on the train for a quick ride to a hot lunch spot in one of our surrounding com-munities. Enjoy the scenery as we travel to our destination and enjoy lunch with friends. This program will help you gain independence in the community by utilizing public transportation via the Metra train line.

Night on the Town

Join us on select Saturday nights for a night on the town at different establishments throughout the Fox Valley area. While out on the town, we’ll play different games like Shuffle Board, Bag-O, Buck Hunter, Pop-O-Shot and Virtual Bowling. The goal of the program is for adults to enjoy a night out and socialize with peers. Please note the alcohol consumption guidelines and Alcohol Waiver is to be signed by all participants and/or legal guardians.

NISRA Fishing Classic

Relax all day on the lake, enjoy the company of your peers, and compete to catch the biggest fish! Join other SRAs for a day of fishing and games! The boats will be accessible for all. Even if you don’t catch a fish, you can always pretend someone else’s fish was yours.

SEASPAR Bowling Tournament

Join us for the Annual SEASPAR Bowling Tournament! Bowlers will bowl three games and compete against other SRAs for prizes. After the tournament, prizes will be awarded and lunch will be served.

Snow Tubing

It’s that time of year again, when the temperature drops and the snow starts falling. Grab your winter gear because it’s time to get outside and play at Villa Olivia. Hit the slopes and go tubing under the lights!

Spring Fling Dance

The flowers are blooming, the weather is getting warm and everyone is happy. There will be dance contests and games as well as a snack. Search your closet for your best spring outfit and head out to the Spring Fling Dance.

St. Charles East Hockey Game

The Saints Club Hockey team is gearing up and heading onto the ice. Come support a local team on their road to victory. In this program, you will socialize with peers and practice money handling.

Tri-City Teen Overnight

Calling all Teens! This is your opportunity to pack up your PJ’s and get out for a fun-filled overnight adventure. We will be staying in a local hotel, just far enough from home to be a vacation. During the evening, we will go out to dinner and hang out on the town. Don’t forget your bathing suit because there will be plenty of pool time on Saturday morning, followed by a movie at a local theater!

Valentine's Dance

Grab your FVSRA sweetheart and head on down to boogie the night away. We will spend the night creating valentine’s for that very special someone, or just a friend, and show off your best dance moves. So dig deep in that closet and find your best red, white or pink outfit!

White Pines Camping Overnight

Bunk up for an outdoor adventure! See a comedic matinee show on the White Pines campgrounds, hike, fish and be one with nature. You will have the outdoor experience while being able to sleep soundly in your four person cabin with its very own bathroom. We will also be roasting marsh-mallows and singing campfire songs through-out the night. The goal of this program is to increase independence and knowledge of the great outdoors through staff lead activities. In case of rain, we will have an opportunity to visit the Ronald Reagan home and local communities in the area.

Winter Wonderland

Enjoy a Winter Wonderland at Peck Farm in Geneva. The day will include activities like roasting marshmallows, making a craft, and a winter hike. If Mother Nature allows, we will play in the snow and build a snowman! The event will be held both indoors and outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
