Bocce

FVSRA is looking for athletes who like to strategize, compete, and have fun. If this fits you, then become a part of the FVSRA Bocce Team. The goal of the program is to learn the basics of bocce ball as the FVSRA staff teach you the ins and outs of the game. Practice your skills on a weekly basis so you can put them to the test at the Special Olympic District Bocce Tournament held on May 1. (10 weeks)

Kickers Soccer

GOAL! FVSRA and Kickers Soccer Club are back! This season we will be forming an official Special Olympics soccer team. The program will progress from skill development to games against other Special Recreation Associations. Athletes will work on team sportsmanship in a competitive environment. The goal of the program is to gain fundamental soccer skills including offense, defense, and ball handling. (9 weeks)

Powerlifting

Powerlifting is a strength-based sport consisting of three events: the squat, bench press, and dead lift. Athletes have 3 attempts to lift as much weight as possible in each event. The highest lift in each event will be added for their total weight lifted. The goal of the program is to improve upon your personal best in bench press, dead lift, and squat. (11 weeks)

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a dance based sport that uses props and encourages the development of motor skills and coordination. Move with the music using ribbons, hoops, and balls to express yourself through the music you hear.

Softball

It’s time to dust off those cleats, bats, and gloves. The FVSRA Softball team is looking to get back into game shape and back onto the diamond. Athletes will start the season off with batting and fielding practice and move into weekly games against other SRA teams. Athletes will also compete in two tournaments. (19 weeks)
