Last Friday, April 12, marked an evening of community, excitement, and support at the Prisco Community Center for the BBQ & Basket Raffle event. With a full house of attendees spanning all ages, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric as guests enjoyed delicious meals and eagerly participated in the basket raffle.
The event kicked off with an overwhelming display of generosity as 606 total meals were served, setting the stage for a night filled with camaraderie and goodwill. FVSRF extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the fundraising efforts. Your support is invaluable in driving initiatives that empower individuals with disabilities to lead active, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

In addition to the excitement of the raffle, attendees had the opportunity to support micro-businesses at the Pop-Up Shop, hosted by FVSRA participants. From diamond art to homemade bracelets, beanies and paintings, the shop offered a diverse array of handmade goods, showcasing the talents of individuals within the community.
And the Raffle Basket bidding was not the only heated competition taking place! The BBQ Sauce Showdown brought together a panel of Celebrity Judges who were able to sample an assortment of BBQ sauces made by various groups. The runners-up, FVSRF board members and FVSRA staff, were trumped by the tastiness of the BBQ Sauce crafted by FVSRA Aktion Club. Congratulations to the hardworking chefs in Aktion Club on their win.
